This piano painting took me about two weeks work. Yet in my mind it went through a thirty-year ripening process until it took plase. It was my dream. In my imagination I developed it. I added and removed details until it was clear to me what I was going to paint.
I love the elegance of the piano. I chose to paint it in deep brown shades that give it an aristocratic look and convey an anchor of intergenerational stability. Playing symbolizes for me the use of tools that life offers to express and cultivate a connection to something greater than themselves. A connection to spirituality and an expression of the soul moan.
